THEORY INVEST attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect through the website theoryinvest.com, why, and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (“Informatique et Libertés”).

1. Data controller

THEORY INVEST, a single-shareholder limited liability company (EURL) with share capital of €9,545,480, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under no. 905 199 758, with its registered office at 31, rue de Monceau, 75008 Paris, France. Contact: contact@theoryinvest.com.

2. Data collected and purposes

  • Contact form : full name, email address, phone number (optional), subject and content of your enquiry. Purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, where applicable, to study a project with you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and, where applicable, the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request.
  • Newsletter subscription : email address. Purpose: to send you our news. Legal basis: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link included in every email.
  • Browsing the website : technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) required for the operation and security of the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.

3. Recipients

Your data is intended solely for authorised THEORY INVEST staff and, where necessary, for the group companies concerned by your enquiry. It may be processed by our technical subcontractors, strictly within the scope of their services:

  • OVH SAS (France), website hosting provider;
  • Google (Google Fonts, Google Maps, YouTube, reCAPTCHA), for displaying fonts, the location map and embedded videos, and for protecting forms against spam.

Your data is never sold or rented to third parties.

4. Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers (Google) are based in the United States. These transfers are governed by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

5. Retention periods

  • Contact enquiries: 3 years from our last exchange;
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe;
  • Cookies and trackers: 13 months maximum; the choices you make via the banner are kept for 12 months.

6. Cookies and trackers

When you visit the website, cookies may be placed on your device:

  • Strictly necessary cookies for the operation of the website (security, remembering your choices): they do not require your consent;
  • Third-party content (Google Maps, YouTube): these services may place their own cookies when you view a page in which they are embedded;
  • Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA): this service analyses certain technical browsing data to check that forms are completed by a human. It is based on our legitimate interest in securing the website.

On your first visit, a banner allows you to accept, refuse or customise these cookies; you can change your choices at any time via the “Manage consent” link or from our cookie policy. You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Refusing certain cookies may limit access to some features of the website.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict and object to its processing, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw your consent at any time, and the right to give instructions regarding the fate of your data after your death.

If, after contacting us, you believe that your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

8. Security

THEORY INVEST implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or disclosure (encrypted HTTPS connection, restricted access, hosting in France).

9. Changes to this policy

We may amend this policy, in particular to reflect changes in regulations. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
